Hi, I’m Brooke (she/her/hers). I’m a Master’s in Counselling Psychology student offering therapy starting January 2026, practicing under the supervision of Lana Hastings, here at Wellness Through Connection. Being a human is complex and moving through the world isn’t always easy. Whether you are navigating chronic stress, old hurt that still lingers, identity exploration, or simply trying to make sense of the world around you, you deserve a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood. You are the expert on your own life; I’m here to hold space and support you in reconnecting with the wisdom and strength you already carry.
As a bi/queer person who lives with chronic pain, I show up with a deep commitment to accessibility, authenticity, and honouring the many forms resilience can take. My approach is collaborative, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed, drawing largely from humanistic, person-centred, emotion-focused, narrative, and strength-based therapies.
Entering therapy is a brave and meaningful step. You deserve support that honours your lived experience, centres your humanity, and meets you where you are.
Being human can be really hard and your desire for connection and balance is worthwhile.
In therapy, we can co-create an atmosphere that is receptive, safe for you to share, facilitates growth and helps you make sense of what currently doesn’t.
Areas of exploration can include (but are not limited to): tools for emotional regulation, stabilization and recovery. How unmet expectations you have of yourself, of others, or from others may be impacting you. How to effectively work with guilt, grief and shame. How to acknowledge the voice of your inner critic. How to manage work related stress and how to maintain healthy relationships through connection to self and community care.
Investing your time, energy and money into your health and wellness is a big decision. My hope is that you will experience good rapport with your therapist, tailored interventions that fit and a clear plan to achieve your goals.
I have been practicing as a Registered Social Worker since 2015 and have over a decade of professional experience assisting individuals navigate challenge. I am committed to infusing evidenced- based practice with the strengths I bring to the table.
I invite you to reach out and I would be happy to connect. Take care and thank you for stopping by!
